Valerie Browne

Valerie Browne grew up in Mahon Cork City.  She lived in residential care for 16 years and while she saw the “good and the bad” of living in residential care, she very much wanted to have her own home.  She was on the Cork County Council housing list for 14 years. Her dream of finding her own home came true November 2014, although she had to wait for several months before she was able to move in. Now happily living in Mahon again, she talks about the ups and downs of the entire process. Her experience is one which must be listened to.
